Peifen shared with me her relationship with Tash. According to her, Tash would drop by HQ every day just to spend that precious few hours with her. When I heard that I realised that this is what I've been looking for. Someone who's devoted and sets his sights on a further future.
And she proceed to share with me why she had picked Tash. As a person with foresight, she doesn't mind putting in hard work now just so that she can have a better future. Tash is someone who shares the same values as her. And being a girl, sometimes all we want is to be taken care of.
It wasn't the flowers or fancy dinners that make me go wow.
It was devotion which kept the flame alive.
It was the fact that you want to spend every single moment with me, and happiness is really just that simple.
And I remember, that was what someone did to win me over.
He would drop by the lan shop which I was working at during the holidays, everyday without fail after NS. Though he would doze off at his computer, it was the act of devotion by sending me home everyday after work that eventually won me over.
At the end of the day, Peifen shared with me a piece of sound wisdom.
"You decide what kind of life you want in the future and whether you are able to live that kind of life. If you decide to be a housewife, and use public transport like MRT and buses, then you have to be contented to live life like that with kids. If you want a better life, then you've got to work towards it. Ultimately, you make the decision, and most importantly, pick the right person. Pick someone who is able to give you what want you want, and then you will realise what are called mistakes."

"The reason why he had proposed was because despite his illness, you still choose to stay with him."
Marriage is suppose to survive through sickness and health. But when time goes by, priorities change for some. Certain things just become less important.
